Make Your Birthday Dino-Mite!
We have 5 birthday party Lapa’s at the Cape Town branch and 3 at the Pretoria branch. All Lapa’s share a general play area.These areas can only be used when booked through Dino Kingdom. Hosting a birthday party in the common resting area is not allowed. We are an outdoor venue and party spaces are located outside the under a Lapa type structure. We cannot accept responsibility for weather conditions that may impact your birthday party. Please contact us for party packs, balloons and other decorations should you need any.
Costs
- Allocated area for 10 guest – R1000.00 to be paid 7 days prior to your booked date.
- Payment of a refundable R500 deposit to be paid 7 days prior to your booked date.
- Please note that an additional charge of R50.00 per person ( This includes the Park admission fee of R20) will apply for more than 10 guests.
- Entrance into the Dino Walk is compulsory for party guests (10) and can be purchased in advance or at the gates @ R250.00 per person for unlimited entrance on the day of your party.
- Please note that the park and the Dino Walk are 2 separate areas.
Scheduling Your Party
- We recommend reserving your birthday party as early as possible as time slots are limited and are booked at a first come first serve basis.
- Birthday parties require a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20 people. This count must include 2 adults.
- Please contact us in the event that your party exceeds 20 people.
Time Slots
- Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 – 14:00 or 15:00 – 18:00
- Please contact us for bookings on Public Holidays and school holidays.
What you need to bring
You are allowed to bring your own food, party packs, cakes, snacks, cooldrinks, non-alcoholic drinks and decorations. Please note that no open fires, braai’s or anything flame related is allowed.
There are some things that we can arrange at an additional cost. Please let us know if you require assistance with decorations, snack, drinks or party packs. We do have onsite kiosks that offers a variety of snack, foods and beverages options for your convenience.
We want ensure that all our guests have a wonderful time and therefore we do have some rules and other things that needs to be adhered to.
To book a party you must agree to the terms and conditions provided below.
What is included in the Package
- The use of a allocated themed party area for 3 hours.
- The use of the general area.
- Two tables and 15 chairs.
- Two single colour table cloths
- One themed back banner.
- One single phase electricity outlet.

TERMS,CONDITIONS, RULES AND ALL OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Number of guests:
- The venue hire is for 10 guests including 2 adults. If one of your dinosaurs has wandered off, you will not be refunded for the lost dinosaur.
- The maximum number of guests per venue allowed is 20, including the birthday child, siblings and adults unless otherwise specified in your booking. We do have one venue available that can accommodate larger groups so please contact us if you would like to book this venue.
Deposit and Payment:
- We require at 7 days’ notice for all party bookings.
- Full payment (R1000) for the venue must be made on confirmation of the booking no later than 7 days before the booked date. You booking will be voided if not paid in advance.
- Payment of the refundable deposit (R500) must be made 7 days before your booked date. The deposit will be refunded to you within 7-10 days after your party. Your deposit will be forfeited if:
- You did not vacate the party venue after your timeslot has expired.
- If any damage to Dino Kingdom property was caused by you or your guests.
- If any items belonging to Dino Kingdom was removed by you or your guests.
- If rubbish was not placed in the allocated bins after your party.
Cancellations:
- Although we do not accept cancellations, we do accept rescheduling if requested more than 7 days in advance subject to availability and to a date that is acceptable to both parties.
- Refunds will not be issued due to no-shows, late arrivals, bad weather or last minute changes.
Admission:
- All visitors not participating in the Dino Walk must pay a R20 entry fee.
- No vehicles are allowed in Dino Kingdom. Please use the dedicated parking areas.
- Dino Walk armbands for 10 guests is compulsory @ R250 per person (this includes the R20 park admission fee)
The day of your party:
- Check in at the ticket office on arrival.
- You will be required to purchase your 10 Dino Walk armbands at the ticket office.
- A member of our staff will show you to your allocated party area.
- The allocated party area is yours for 3 hours. You are required to vacate the area no more than 15 minutes after your time slot has expired.
- The use of the general seating area is included in your armband price. This is a great place for your guest to meet up before ,or to relax in after, your allocated time slot at the party venue but food and drinks are not allowed in the general area. Please return your unused food and drinks to your car before accessing the general area.
- All the party areas are located in the same enclosed area, so please make sure your guest do not interfere with other parties happening around yours.
Armbands:
- The armbands are for unlimited entry until 18:00 on the day of purchase. This means that even after your party time slot has elapsed, you can still access the Dino Walk area.
- Please ensure that all armbands are correctly fitted on each of your guests and that they keep them on for the duration of their visit. No extra or replacement armbands will be given.
- If your guests do not have the armband on, if the armband has been removed or damaged and then refitted, they will not be allowed to enter the Dino Walk area.
Decorations:
- When putting up decorations please remove them after your party as well as all press-stick, sticky tape or strings used.
- If you need assistance with decorating, please let us know in advance as we do have a limited amount of staff on duty per shift.
No – No Items (Restricted Items):
- No Alcohol, No Loud Music, No Pets, No Smoking, No Open Flames, No Party Poppers, No Sparklers, No Fireworks, No Open Flames, NOTHING that can be considered a fire hazard.
Supervising Adults:
- Dino Kingdom is not a drop-off party venue. This means that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Dino Kingdom is not responsible to the care of any children before or after your party. Please ensure that the parents collect their children before you leave the venue.
Safety and Responsible Behaviour:
- We would love for everyone to have a roarsome good time at Dino Kingdom but if the party children (or adults) behaviour becomes unacceptable to management, the party will be suspended and no refund will be given.
- Dino Kingdom will not be liable for injuries as a result of the use of restricted items during a party or injury due to the negligent or bad behaviour of party guests.
- The host of the birthday party will be held liable for all damages caused to Dino Kingdom by their guests.
Dino Walk Area Rules, Conduct and Behaviour for Party Guest:
- All guest must wear their entry armband to access the Dino Walk Area. If the armband are removed, loosely fitted or damaged (and then reattached), the guest will not be allowed to enter the Dino Walk area.
- The Dino Walk area is situated in a natural environment and therefore the walkways are uneven and natural obstacles are present. Please walk with care and stay in the pathways.
- Shoes must be worn in the Dino Walk.
- No eating or drinking allowed in the Dino Walk Area.
- No climbing over the barriers.
- No touching the dinosaurs.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Parents and guardians must ensure that minors understand and adhere to all the rules.
- No sand is to be removed from the sandpits.
